Day One Hundred Twenty-Two

10:04PM: My business is starting to gain some traction and I’m getting pretty busy lately. That’s a good thing. We will have a relatively quiet Thanksgiving with a smaller than usual crowd. That’s ok, I hate “the holidays”. The ecomonic crisis putting the damper on holiday spending might be the best thing we will ever go though. Finally an end to rampant consumerism. Stop buying shit for the sake of buying shit. Bah, humbug; I want a new Macbook Pro. Fucking hypocrit.

Republicans, go stick your head in a toilet for 4 years. u r irrelivant. Jay-Z for secretary of beats.

Day One Hundred Nineteen

10:32PM: I’m getting tired of being threatened by external forces on this whole bailout thing. First, wall street said, you better bail us out or everything will go to hell in a handbag. Now the auto industry says you better bail us out or it’s doom for you. Well, fuck you. Nobody’s bailing me out for all the bad decisions I made the past five years. I have to live with the consequences as does my family. Who else is going to belly up to the trough next? Maybe Citibank, I hear their pretty much screwed.

Sarah Palin pardoned a turkey for Thanksgiving, than gave an interview while the rest of the turkeys got butchered in the background. The future of the GOP. Good luck with that.

Day One Hundred Twelve

nbcmic8:14PM: I accidently happened upon the Sean Hannity radio show today. The guy is suck a fucking putz it’s amazing. Anyway he was going on about Bill Ayers. What? Sean, the election is over. Your guy lost. Nobody cared than and they certainly don’t care now.

I saw today that Obama is going to address the nation weekly on YouTube. It’s a version of the old fireside chat. I absolutely love this idea but I hope it is more than simply a video version of the weekly presidential radio address. This is a real opportunity to connect with the nation in a very personal way. I don’t want a canned political speech. Please Obama team, you have shown a real understanding of the social media space, please do this right.

One Hundred Eleven

9:43PM: I’ve been trying to get my wife to start blogging. She has plenty to say and I think she would be great if she could just bring herself to say it. Well, she has started a blog. We don’t have the site up yet, she has been typing things into iWeb for now. I’m so glad she has started this and I know it’s going to be cool.

We are staying in Northern California for a few days with my brother and sister in-law. They have four kids of their own ranging from 2 to 9 and as you might expect, the house is quite chaotic. Trying to get the baby to sleep in this mess has been challenging.

I am also without my usual Kurig coffee and have had to make do with the Tassimo machine that is here. It’s not bad actually but I need to go out and get some decent coffee for it. Yeah, I’m addicted to coffee, but it’s alot better than being adicted to crack, no?

It’s going to be an iPod xmas around our house. We are thinking of getting an iPod touch for Virginia. Not only will she have all her music, but she will be able to play games and have video. Lucky girl. For my wife, who has lost or had stolen two iPods now, we are looking at the new Nano. Still, the sweetest iPod going right now if you ask me. Me, I’ll hang onto my iPhone and continue to lust after a 16Gig iPhone 3G. Sometime next year for sure, sometime. I may get myself an Apple TV, however.

Day One Hundred Nine

8:31PM: Sometimes I can’t believe we have a new baby. And than I roll over and there she is, staring at me bright eyed and beautiful. Capella is so fantastic I can’t stand it.

I found the second novel in the Fourth Realm Trilogy. It’s a three part story from John Twelve Hawks. The first book is The Traveler and the second, The Dark River. The third and final book is yet to be written. I liked The Traveler and I’m looking forward to this continuing story.

Day One Hundred Eight

11:31PM: I have a fasting blood test tomorrow and I’m a late night snaker, so this is killing me. My strategy is to get to bed before midnight. If I’m sleeping, I can’t be hungry.

I got a new debit card from my bank and it has PayPass enabled. That’s a technology where at certain merchants that support it, you can simply wave your card over the scanner and walla, you’re done. No typing numbers, nothing. Security, well that sucks, as anyone who has stolen your card can simply swipe it without knowing any pin numbers. Other than that fatal flaw, it’s cool. I like it.

Girls; they’ve got clothes comming out of their ears, but can never find something to wear. I feel the same way with WordPress themes. I downloaded another four tonight and I’m constantly serching for the “perfect” theme. Something’s always just not quite right. Than you go to all that trouble to get the right theme and people subscribe to your RSS feed where there is no style. Oh, well.

Odd story: I knew a girl in college who would pop her boyfriends pimples on his back. First, who has that many pimples on their back? Well, I guess he did. That’s either dedication or just plain gross.

I watched “Panic In Year Zero” on Netflix streaming service last night. Worked pretty well but it wouldn’t play the second part of what was supposed to be a double feature. That sucked, but Panic is this great, completely cheesy black and white horror film. End of the world stuff. I highly recommend it if you get the chance.
